For an often unheralded month, March has a lot going on! In addition to the official beginning of spring (March 20th), March is also home to Pi Day (3.14), the Ides of March on the 15th (made famous by Shakespeare’s reference in Julius Caesar), St. Patrick’s Day celebrated on March 17th, and the lesser known Johnny Appleseed Day — which is the focus of The View at Mill Run Blog today. February, that mid-winter month, is here, claiming its due of darkness and chill. But amid the frigid days, it also offers a glimpse of spring in the Valentine’s Day flower bouquets that pop up all over Owings MIlls, MD. It’s one of the wonderful traditions of the day.
